Terms of Service

These terms apply to PetPop (working name, “we”) while it's in beta. By signing in you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use PetPop

You must be 18 or older. Our AI providers require this, and so do we.

2. Your photos

  • You keep ownership of the photos you upload.
  • You confirm you have the right to use them.
  • Upload photos of pets only. Don't upload photos of people (especially anyone under 18), or anything illegal, hateful or explicit.
  • You let us process your photos only to make your art and run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. The art we make

  • Every picture is AI-generated. Don't claim it was made by a human; please keep it labeled as AI art when you share it.
  • AI isn't perfect: results may not look exactly like your pet and may not be unique. Similar images could be made for other people.
  • To the extent we have rights in your art, we give them to you for personal use. Commercial use may also be limited by our AI providers' terms. TODO: confirm with a lawyer.
  • Our style names describe looks (sticker, plush, watercolor…). We don't imitate brands or franchises.

4. Free daily styles and fair use

  • Each account gets a free daily allowance for creating art. Each style you pick and each redo uses part of it; it resets every day at 00:00 UTC, and the Create page shows how many free styles you have left. Free redos are also limited per image.
  • We may change these limits. We may pause the service, queue requests when it's busy, or suspend accounts that abuse it.

5. Merch

Physical products are not for sale yet. The merch page only collects a waitlist; there are no orders or payments. Prices, shipping and launch dates are to be announced.

6. Beta and liability

PetPop is a beta service provided “as is”, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses or for losing generated art. Keep copies of art you love. TODO: liability cap and governing law.

7. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time on the Account page. We may close accounts that break these terms.
